Tinkoff Bank’s iOS and Android apps get first place in Markswebb’s Mobile Banking Rank 2018, a research report on the effectiveness of mobile apps for individuals.
Markswebb Rank & Report has given the top prize to Tinkoff Bank’s iOS and Android apps for the sixth consecutive year. This year, Tinkoff Bank got first place in both the Daily Banking and the Digital Office categories.
The Mobile Banking Rank 2018 assessed the functionality and usability of more than one hundred mobile apps of banks and financial institutions in Russia. The methodology included desk study of mobile banks and usability testing. In 2018, all mobile banks were benchmarked against two digital service models — Daily Banking and Digital Office. In the Daily Banking category, the most effective mobile bank enables its customers to manage money in a debit card account and receive updates about this product in the most comprehensive and convenient manner. The Digital Office rating assesses the number of customer tasks that can be handled via a banking app instead of visiting the bank’s office or contacting a call centre.

Using the mobile app, holders of Tinkoff Black debit card can open accounts in as many as 30 currencies at a time. Among other features, the app displays receipts in the shopping list. In June 2018, Tinkoff Bank topped Markswebb’s Internet Banking Rank 2018. In March 2018, Tinkoff Bank ranked first among Russian banks by the number of loyalty programmes. In December 2017, the Tinkoff Business app for Android was named the most effective tool for the SME segment, while in August 2017 Tinkoff Bank’s mobile app won in four categories (mobile apps for iPhone, Android and Windows, and apps for iPads).
